Playing Field Hockey in Europe

This is your Invitation to join us next summer – this is your next step in hockey.

If you look at any DI College roster you’re likely to find a few EuroTour alumni. It’s not unusual for our players to make the team. They have a competitive advantage over other US players. They know the value of top-training in Europe.

Our focus is on top international hockey training – the very best. We offer a killer training program – and FUN too! The hockey program is designed by our partner, FIH “Master Coach” a Grade 1 Developmental Coach (the only one in the World) Thomas Tichelman who is also the coach and technical trainer for the Dutch Men’s National Team.

Our small group size (typically 36 players) allows for an unheard of 1:5 Dutch coach to player ratio – along with one-on-one individual attention to your game.

And 30% to 50% of our players sign-up as an individual – as new friendships are made quickly on EuroTour.

We take an expanded mix of players, from seasoned DI recruited athletes to the player embarking on her high school career. Training is focused on the individual – not the group. Learn from the development team that took Olympic Gold in ’96 & ’00 and 2008.

WHO WE ARE:
Our corporate name is Expanding Horizons, Inc. We own and operate Sport EuroTour, an international field hockey travel program, in addition to World Camp USA, our domestic "international" camp. We work with a broad spectrum of athletes and coaches wishing to excel in field hockey.

Our niche is working specifically with young women field hockey athletes.
Our expertise is in planning and executing professional field hockey training programs for individuals and teams.
Our networks are at the highest levels of technical coaching expertise available in Europe.
Our goal is to provide players and coaches with the absolute highest coaching and training available in hockey - all while delivering the richest, most rewarding and value packed experience possible.

COMPANY HISTORY:
Sport EuroTour began in 1989 with its first hockey tour to Europe. We are a US Field Hockey Association Partner Camp. In addition, we have developed an exclusive arrangement with the European Hockey Federation (EHF) Camp and Clinic providers to register US players into Europe's top talent camp - the EHF "Camp of Excellence". Our relationships in Field Hockey are at the highest level - at the Olympic GOLD level.

Thomas Tichelman - Dutch Men's National Team Coach
Thomas Tichelman is one of the most renowned coaches in the world. The Dutch technical system is recognized as being the most advanced in the world – and Thomas has had a hand in that. Always on the cutting edge of Hockey, Thomas has trained some of the best in our sport, including Teun De Nooijer, Taco van den Honert and Bram Lomens. Working with van den Honert, Thomas is credited with perfecting the Drag Flick – and with the Amsterdam Free University of Movement Sciences, he designed the Zonal Training System – allowing players and coaches the ability to breakdown specific skill-sets needed to perform at maximum efficiency while playing the ball at every angle to the body. Thomas is a Technical partner with Sport EuroTour and co-owner of World Camp USA.
